Mark you calendars for city council forums coming over the next few months. If you live in one of these wards or know someone who lives there, this is a great opportunity to hear directly from the candidates. The schedule is as follows:

Ward 2 candidates on September 9 – Adam Hertz & Pam Walzer

Ward 3 candidates on September 16 – Paul Bohan, Sean D. Ives, & Alex Taft

Ward 5 candidates on September 23 – Renee Mitchell & Mike O’Herron

Rob Natelson – 11 June – FRIDAY PACHYDERM MEETING

THIS FRIDAY, the guest speaker will be Professor Rob Natelson.

Rob is a Senior Fellow with both the Independence Institute in Golden, Colorado and the Montana Policy Institute in Bozeman, Montana. Both public policy research organizations emphasize private sector and free market based solutions over government intervention in dealing with societal problems.

He is one of America’s best known constitutional scholars. For 23 years, Rob served as Professor of Law at the University of Montana where he taught Constitutional Law and became a recognized national expert on the framing and adoption of the United States Constitution.

THIS FRIDAY, the guest speaker will be Ryan Zinke, Montana State Senator from Whitefish & a formerCommander of Navy Seal Team 6.

He will talk about Navy Seal Team 6 and the recently completed Montana legislative session.

Senator Zinke is Chairman of the Senate Education & Cultural Resources Committee and also serves on the Highways & Transportation Committee and the Finance & Claims Committee. He is a retired Navy Commander. He also has a small business that is promoting manned and unmanned aerial reconnaissance programs for Homeland Security in Montana.

He will address economic development in Missoula County, in particular, the purchase of the Frenchtown Mill by GIGI (Green Investment Group Incorporated) and their plans for development at the old mill site.

THIS FRIDAY, the guest speaker will be Aaron Flint, Host of the “Voices of Montana“ statewide radio talk show on the Northern Broadcasting Network based in Billings, Montana.

He will be showing some of his interviews and slides of Montana soldiers from his recent March visit to Afghanistan.

Aaron is a University of Montana graduate,as well as, a former U of M College Republican and University of Montana Associated Student Body President. He is also a U of M Army ROTC graduate with previous active duty tours in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
